1. INTRODUCTION TO DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL SCIENCE
The Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Hong Duc University, has nearly 30 years of experience in teaching, scientific research, and technology transfer in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, and related fields. The Department has made significant contributions to training high-quality human resources for the socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa Province and northern Vietnam.
To date, the Department has trained nearly 1,000 full-time students and hundreds of students through articulation and work-study programs. With continuously updated curricula aligned with higher education quality standards, the Department currently manages and delivers two undergraduate programs: Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, and Animal Science.
The Department has a dedicated and experienced academic team, many of whom have been trained at leading institutions in Vietnam and abroad, including Thailand, the Philippines, and China. Faculty members have conducted research projects and published scientific papers in national and international journals, while developing textbooks and teaching materials. Through education, research, and technology transfer, the Department contributes to advancing sustainable livestock production and agricultural development.

Education and Training
Develop, manage, and deliver undergraduate programs in Animal Science and Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine.
Research and Technology Transfer
Conduct scientific research and transfer new technologies, technical advances, and practical solutions in the fields of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine.
Development of Teaching and Academic Materials
Compile and develop textbooks, specialized monographs, reference materials, and other academic resources to support teaching, learning, and professional development.
Community Engagement and Services
Organize short-term professional training courses and provide technical consultancy and support to livestock farms and relevant organizations in Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine
